Finished Axes

Regular price $575 AUD (+GST)

We know that there are plenty of reasons why you would want a finished axe that's ready to cut. Some of you might not have the time or the equipment. Perhaps you just realised that you need a present in a hurry. Maybe you just want an axe that is ground by someone else that might cut a little bit better in some different wood.

Whatever the reason is Engineered for Axemen has got you covered. We are getting some axes ground by Henry Maine down in Tassie. He was recommended by several great axemen and we are not disappointed with the axes that he has done. In fact the we were so impressed with the service, the look of them and how they cut, that we kept the first batch for ourselves! Hahaha sorry you missed out, but don't worry we can get plenty more in no time at all.

So if you would like just the head or a complete axe with a handle then check out what we have. Choose from the drop down options which one you are after and then put in the notes at the check out what style you are after.

We use Jimmy Head handles for complete axes. Don't get us started on how good these handles are. If you haven't heard of Jimmy Head handles there's a full description on the handle page.

Options to consider when ordering the axe are:

  • size of the axe, 185,190,195 or 200
  • Angle of the bevel, 14 deg, 15 deg, 16 deg
  • bevel length, chisel or banana grind
  • wood that you will be cutting

Or if you are unsure of what you are exactly after, we can talk to Henry and work it out for you. We make great axes and Henry has got heaps of experience grinding them. Just let us know what timber you are cutting and leave the rest to us.

Lead time for finished axes is approximately 6 weeks. However we do have some finished axes in stock so check out our 'Axes In The Post Tomorrow' section and we can get it to you real quick.
